Join us to call on the Komen Foundation to sever ties with Planned Parenthood and fund real alternatives for breast cancer research.
The Susan G. Komen Foundation sponsors races across the nation for men and women to express solidarity in their goal of eradicating breast cancer, and to raise funds for research. This is a great goal.
However Susan G. Komen compromises its own mission to find a cure for breast cancer by associating and providing funding for Planned Parenthood, the nation’s largest abortion provider. In 2008, Planned Parenthood performed a total of 324,008 abortions, over 25 percent of all U.S. abortions.
Important facts:
The funds from Susan G. Komen are supposedly devoted to mammograms. Yet, investigations have shown that Planned Parenthood facilities do not offer mammogram services. See video below.
Studies have linked abortion with a increase risk in breast cancer risk. In fact, since 1957 there have been 67 studies done concerning induced abortion and breast cancer risk. Of these, 51 showed a positive association and 30 were statistically significant. However, both Susan G. Komen and Planned Parenthood deny any possible risk that abortion poses to breast health.
