Louisiana Right to Life’s primary focus is the protection of the right to life of the unborn, and we see abortion as the greatest life-destroying force in our culture today. Abortion was legalized in 1973 in the Supreme Court decision Roe v. Wade. Its companion case, Doe vs. Bolton, legalized the procedure during all nine months of pregnancy. Since 1973 there have been roughly 60 million babies killed in abortions, with 4,000 babies losing their life each day in the United States.
